MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. - Those who clung to the trial against Dharun Ravi because of personal akin or perhaps just to see how justice would prevail may have finally received some closure, even if it is not the kind they hoped for.

This week Dharun Ravi was sentenced to 30 days in jail for crimes of privacy invasion when he spied on his roommate Tyler Clementi’s intimate interactions with a man from a webcam, and broadcasted them via social media. Within the same week, Clementi left a suicide note on Facebook, and jumped off the George Washington Bridge.

Dolls were never supposed to be real, or were they?

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. – Perfect.  That is the one word to describe Barbie. The “ideal woman”, with flowing blonde hair, ample chest, narrow waist, long legs, shapely behind, and a pretty face. Pure, flawless plastic perfection.

Barbie is also just a doll. A doll that is worshipped and seen as a role model by little girls and even grown women all over the world.

Recently, 21-year-old Ukrainian model Valeria Lukyanova, swept through the media like a storm and instantaneously became an internet sensation. She only joined Facebook a little more than a week ago on Apr. 21, and already obtained 138,000 “likes”. Her blog is also wildly popular.

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. - U.S. News & World Report has named Rutgers University the most diverse university in the country, but students don’t see the benefits of it and neither do I. But that might be because Rutgers is such a melting pot for cultures.

Stereotypical New Jersey PDF Print E-mail

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. -- Does this map of New Jersey reinforce  the state’s tarnished culture, or does it validate everyone what everyone thinks anyway?

When Joe Steinfield of West Field created a color coded map based upon the stereotypes in New Jersey he had no idea that it would instantly become an internet sensation, to the point where the map and Steinfield have been featured on nj.com and Yahoo News. The map has had positive reactions from internet viewers with little backlash.

And, while no doubt that Steinfield was only trying to be funny, the map which already has over 800,000 views doesn’t exactly help New Jersey’s reputation for being a place of culture.  With shows like "Jersey Shore," "Real Housewives of New Jersey" and "The Sopranos," the nation’s idea of the people in this state are already sullied by the idea that we’re all spray tanned fist pumping gangsters who only live for controversy. So the question isn’t whether this is funny or not, or even if this map is an accurate deception of the Garden State. The real question is based on the state’s reputation does this map really need to be floating around the internet? And how do people from this state feel about it?

NFL players and Federal Investigators have become more familiar with each throughout recent years

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. -- What's maybe more surprising than the arrest of Chicago Bear WR Sam Hurd on federal drug charges, is that he signed a four million dollar extension with the team just this year. Yet this did not stop Hurd from allegedly attempting to buy a kilo of cocaine and 500 pounds of marijuana from a confidential informant.

Hurd is the not the first NFL player to come up on federal charges, nor is her the most famous. In 2007 then Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick was indicted on Rico charges when FBI conducted a dog fight probe into the Vick own Bad News Kennels. At the time Vick signed a $110 million dollar deal with the Falcons.
