Darian attended Toms River North High School in New Jersey, before accepting a full football scholarship to Rutgers University.
He later transferred to Hampton University, where he majored in political science. In 2002, he achieved free agent status in the National Football League and had his first tryout with the New York Giants. He soon found a home on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers roster, and won a Super Bowl ring in his very first year in the league.
Darian is a retired seven-year veteran of the league, also having played fullback for the Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins, New York Jets, Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions, and the New Orleans Saints.
In 2003, Darian co-founded Twilight East Studios, a multimedia content creation studio with a focus in print, film, and digital media. There he managed a 15-man staff of artists, writers, and graphic designers, producing various multimedia projects including: The National Triumph League, a story where superheroes are placed in professional sports settings. Darian co-wrote and sold the screenplay to the Nehst Studios in 2007.
Along with his duties for GridIron, Darian speaks at numerous youth camps, organizations, and charity events. He is currently attending Rutgers University, pursuing his degree in journalism and media studies with a focus in social media. He also writes a bi-monthly sports column in the Warren Showcase Magazine, which has a circulation of 26,000 homes and businesses in Warren County, NJ. Darian is married to Rebecca, and the couple has two daughters, Damara and Darynn.
